Tomorrow
we are
bones and ash,
the roots of weeds
poking through
our skulls.
Today,
simple clothes,
empty mind,
full stomach,
alive, aware,
right here,
right now.
Drunk on music,
who needs wine?
Come on,
Sweetheart,
let’s go dancing
while we’ve
still got feet.

Was able to do a little hiking trip this past week with some friends. Clark Creek Natural Area in Pond Mississippi.
Its pretty amazing to find terrain like this so close to home in VERY flat Louisiana.

South America?

Looking like I may very possibly be heading to Quito, Ecuador later this year! Plus another yet to be determined country in South America.

Pretty excited

If I’d learnt one thing from travelling, it was that the way to get things done was to go ahead and do them. Don’t talk about going to Borneo. Book a ticket, get a visa, pack a bag, and it just happens. — Alex Garland, The Beach
